I only went because Face To Face were billed as support, though upon arrival we were informed that the advertisements were wrong and Face to Face were joining the tour from the next gig in England I don't know if it was my dissapointment of not seeing F2F or that they were tired/jetlagged but the live show was really awful and i was kind of put off. I really liked some of the catchier tunes in From Here To Infirmary and was getting into the band when i had the misfortune to see them live. Hey I didn't want to start a new thread, so i'm sorry for dragging up this old one. Prevent this Tragedy is quite poppy and epic, but unfortunately in the Evanescence style. Not a good demonstration of the new album's sound, though - it's more like something off FHTI (?) (Talking of FHTI, Mercy Me is pretty much identical to Private Eye, but never mind) Not great as a stand-alone song, but good in context.īack to Hell sounds like a single. Sadie is notable for hardly having any punk elements at all. Probably will date terribly, but sounds great now. I really hope they don't screw this up by over-producing it.īleed has some electronic stuff going on. These are just ones that stand out for sounding different) (These aren't the best tracks, because like Mr Spew says, it's hard to pick best ones, because there's a lot of good stuff. It makes a pleasant change from some of their more-monotone previous stuff, although it's moving away from thier punk roots. Not sure about 'darker', but they've made their sound really big. They really seem to have pulled the stops out for this one. The tracks in that download pretty much all sound fantastic to me. Fairly decent? I think that's understating it a bit.
